Seedance 2.0 Pricing: What Product Video Ads Actually Cost

Understand Seedance 2.0 API rates, resource packs, temporary discounts and the cost variables that matter when budgeting ecommerce product video ads.

By AdverForge8 min read
The short answer

Seedance does not have one universal per-video price. Ark bills generated tokens by model, resolution and input type. Temporary per-second promotions can simplify an estimate, but they are not the permanent operating cost.

BILLING MODEL

Start with tokens, not a headline price per clip.

Volcengine Ark meters Seedance generation in video tokens. The applicable rate changes with the selected model, output resolution and whether the request contains video input. The final cost therefore depends on the task's billed token usage, not only the visible duration.

MODEL

2.0, Fast or Mini

Higher-cost and lower-cost variants have different rate cards and capability tradeoffs.

RESOLUTION

480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K

Available resolutions and rates vary by model. Do not extrapolate a 720p estimate to every output.

INPUT TYPE

Video input or no video input

Ark publishes separate rates because video-conditioned tasks and image/text-conditioned tasks use different billing paths.

PRODUCTION

Approved outputs plus retries

A usable ad budget must include rejected generations and replacements, not just the final exported seconds.

OFFICIAL RATE SNAPSHOT

These are Ark pay-as-you-go rates, not a guaranteed clip total.

The following selected rates are from Volcengine's official large-model billing page, last updated September 15, 2026. Prices are RMB per 1,000 generated video tokens. Check the live documentation before purchasing because model names and rates can change.

Seedance 2.0
480p / 720p · Video input · RMB 0.042 / 1K tokens
Seedance 2.0
480p / 720p · No video input · RMB 0.069 / 1K tokens
Seedance 2.0 Fast
480p / 720p · Video input · RMB 0.033 / 1K tokens
Seedance 2.0 Fast
480p / 720p · No video input · RMB 0.0555 / 1K tokens
Seedance 2.0 Mini
480p / 720p · Video input · RMB 0.021 / 1K tokens
Seedance 2.0 Mini
480p / 720p · No video input · RMB 0.0345 / 1K tokens

Ark also documents separate resource-pack conversion rates. A resource package can reduce or prepay backend spend, but package balance, expiry and deduction rules still need to match the intended model and input type.

TIME-LIMITED SNAPSHOT

The lowest advertised per-second numbers expire.

On October 6, 2026, Volcengine's official activity page advertised enterprise discounts through October 7, 2026 at 14:00 China Standard Time. For 720p output, it described Seedance 2.0 Mini as low as approximately RMB 0.20 per second and Seedance 2.0 Fast as low as approximately RMB 0.60 per second, subject to campaign and usage conditions.

5-SECOND MINI

About RMB 1.00

A temporary promotional estimate: 5 × RMB 0.20. It is not the permanent list price.

5-SECOND FAST

About RMB 3.00

A temporary promotional estimate: 5 × RMB 0.60. Eligibility and usage caps still apply.

15-SECOND MINI

About RMB 3.00

A temporary generation-only estimate before retries, review and assembly.

15-SECOND FAST

About RMB 9.00

A temporary generation-only estimate before rejected shots and replacement work.

Once the promotion ends, use the current Ark console estimate or official billing table. An SEO article should preserve the date and conditions instead of presenting a launch discount as an evergreen price.

PRODUCT-AD BUDGET

Budget the reviewed ad, not only the successful seconds.

A 15-second product ad may be assembled from three five-second shots: hook, proof and close. If every shot succeeds once, the budget is simple. In practice, product drift, unsupported text, malformed controls or an unusable action can force one or more shots to be regenerated.

PLANNING FORMULA

Expected production cost

Use observed acceptance rates from your own product category. Do not assume every generated shot is publishable.

Expected generation cost
= planned shots × average task cost
+ expected replacement shots × average task cost
+ voice, assembly, storage and delivery costs

Cost per approved shot
= total generation spend / QA-approved shots

The strongest cost control happens before generation: lock the exact product, bind each claim to evidence, approve one action per shot and reject an invalid plan before it reaches the model. The Seedance product-consistency templates show how to write that contract.

PROVIDER RATE VS PRODUCT PRICE

An inference bill is not the complete price of a usable product ad.

Ark pricing describes model consumption. A product workflow also has to import assets, preserve product evidence, run safety checks, manage asynchronous jobs, expose a reviewable plan, assemble approved shots and reject bad outputs. Those layers are why a product credit should not be represented as a simple markup on one published token rate.

AdverForge currently uses Seedance through Volcengine Ark for video production. The public AdverForge pricing page describes what users receive; this article explains the underlying cost variables without exposing private supplier telemetry or promising a fixed provider cost.

SEEDANCE PRICING FAQ

Questions to answer before setting a generation budget.

How much does Seedance 2.0 cost per video?

There is no single fixed price for every video. Volcengine Ark bills generated video tokens at a rate that depends on the model, resolution and whether the request includes video input. The live console estimate and final bill are the authoritative values for a specific task.

Is Seedance 2.0 free?

Volcengine may offer trials, resource packages or time-limited discounts, but Seedance API production is a metered service. A temporary promotion should not be treated as the permanent operating price.

Why can two five-second videos cost different amounts?

Model tier, resolution, input type, generated token usage, retries and discarded outputs can all change the production cost even when final duration is the same.

Is the Seedance provider rate the same as AdverForge pricing?

No. Provider inference is one backend cost. AdverForge credits also represent the review workflow, safety checks, product grounding, job handling and output QA described on the AdverForge pricing page.

Check the official Ark model pricing, Seedance resource-pack rules, video generation API documentation and current promotion page before making a purchase decision.
