Seedance 2.5 for Product Videos: Setup, Prompts and Review
By AdverForge · Updated October 11, 2026 · 5 min read
AdverForge uses Seedance 2.5 for its Quality video option. Start with a clear product image, give each shot one visual job, and review the result before using it in an ad. A newer model does not remove the need to check that the generated product matches what you sell.
What is available in AdverForge?
The current Quality workflow supports 5, 8 and 10-second clips at 720p. You confirm your product, choose its reference image and approve the shot before submitting a generation task. The current product workflow creates silent footage; plan voiceover and captions separately.
These are AdverForge’s current options, not an exhaustive list of everything the upstream model supports. The Fast option uses a different model. Check the selected option and displayed credit cost before you generate.
Prepare the reference before writing the prompt
Use a sharp photo of the actual item, with its silhouette, color and visible parts easy to distinguish. A front view supports a front-facing shot. It does not establish what an unseen back panel, hinge or interior looks like.
If your only reference is an illustration, keep the planned style close to it. Asking for a photographic makeover and a new camera angle at the same time introduces more room for invented geometry. More adjectives cannot supply missing product evidence.
Give the shot a beginning, an action and an end
Start with the product visible, choose one motion that reveals a real detail, and finish on a stable frame. Specify the camera separately from the product action. For example, moving the camera sideways is different from rotating the product to reveal an unverified side.
A practical brief might ask for a short lateral camera move over the already-visible face, a fixed soft light, and a stationary final frame. Name the actual detail shown in your reference. Keep readable text, prices and calls to action for editing rather than asking the video model to draw them.
See the product video prompt library for shot structures and the reference-image guide for preparation steps.
What our real test showed
On October 11, we generated a five-second vertical clip from an illustrated transparent earbuds-case reference. The brief requested a dark blue set, a strip softbox and a small turntable rotation. The resulting 720 × 1280 video played successfully and used two AdverForge credits.
The lighting treatment improved, but the earbuds and case changed shape. Automated review rejected the product match, and a manual frame check also found visible structural differences. The result was not approved as a usable product ad. This is one workflow test, not a model benchmark or evidence that every similar prompt will fail.
The lesson is to judge identity and visual appeal separately. An attractive reflection is not enough if the model redraws the item. Keep rejected takes for diagnosis and change the reference or shot brief before another attempt.
Review and budget for usable takes
- Compare the silhouette, component count, colors and open or closed state with the reference.
- Watch the whole clip for temporary deformations, invented details and unexpected movement.
- Check the final frame as carefully as the opening frame.
- Budget for reviewed takes, not just successful API responses. A completed generation can still be unsuitable.
Generation credits and upstream API pricing are different units. See AdverForge pricing for the product’s plans and inspect the credit estimate shown for your selected task.
